About

Re-imagining the possibilities of machinery into a playful and dangerous sphere, Forklift contrasts the lightness of limbs with hard edges and heavy metal.

If you’re craving something quirky, then don’t miss a completely out-of-the-box offering for Bleach* Festival’s Broadbeach debut.

Produced by internationally acclaimed Melbourne-based dance theatre group KAGE, Forklift is a lyrical, intimate and dangerous creation, which combines choreography, contortion and aerial acrobatics performed by three female dancers upon a real 2.5 tonne forklift.

Boasting KAGE’s trademark vigorous physicality, atmospherics and sense of play, Forklift is a visually stunning, arresting, provocative and humorous performance not to be missed.
