Flamenco, funk and astounding physicality will engulf The Esplanade in 2016, as Bleach* Festival returns to Paradise Point for a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family.

Arrive early for a free dance workshop with the stars of Australia’s premier flamenco group — Flamenco Fire. These flamboyant foot-stomping tips will certainly come in handy later in the evening.

Then, enter a remarkable world of risk, laughter and liveliness as The Playground Project by Circus Corridor showcases young and emerging circus artists alongside established performers to create a dynamic and playful spectacle.

The funky grooves of Brisbane’s Inigo will keep the temperature up as the sun sets, with their eclectic blend of killer rhythms, bright horns and jazz-pop influences.

For the finale, Flamenco Fire present Viva Sevilla — the third instalment of a historically based flamenco trilogy, exploring the cultural, geopolitical and religious influences that combined over a period of almost two thousand years to produce the various elements of flamenco.

Featuring Australia’s finest flamenco performers — Simone Pope (dance), Andrew Veivers (guitar) and Shenton Gregory (violin), this is a performance not to be missed.
