World Premiere | Commissioned by Bleach* Festival –

What do you do when the world is ending? To quote Prince, you “Party like it’s 1999.”

The Gold Coast’s most iconic strip of sand at Surfers Paradise is the stage on which The Farm will send their bodies flying into the sky and the thunder of drums out to sea in this eschatological SOS of contemporary dance, physical theatre, and of course, the group’s trademark sense of humour.

Emerging at dusk to mark the end of the world with a bourgeois party to end all bourgeois parties, our happy idiots celebrate themselves into oblivion amidst a cataclysmic cacophony of light, sand and sound all set to a score by multi ARIA award winning musician Ben Ely (Regurgitator).
